Zyra Nutrition
Macro & calorie tracking that fits in your day: a short setup, daily targets, food logging with barcode scanning and real portions, and a weekly check-in that reads what your weight is actually doing. Zyra Nutrition runs in the browser today — nothing to install — and keeps your log on your device; an iOS app is in development.
What's in the app
- Food log with search over a database of 540,000+ foods, barcode scanning, and nutrition label scanning for anything the database does not know
- Portions in the units you think in — pieces, cups, tablespoons, grams or ounces — with household measures for reference foods
- Recipes and plates: build a meal once, log it as a portion; import a recipe from a link, a description or a photo
- A short guided onboarding that turns your goal into daily calorie and macro targets
- A weekly check-in that estimates your expenditure from what you logged and what the scale did, and re-plans your targets; weight trend, weigh-in calendar and a first-30-days view
- Timeline editing (copy or move a meal to another day or time), reminders, a day nutrient explorer, CSV export
- Local-first: the log lives on your device and works offline; sign in only to back it up and sync
Tools that use the same math
The Zyra Nutrition target algorithm is also published here, as free browser-only calculators that show their working. Each row names the algorithm module the page is built from.
- Macro calculatorzyra-algo v2

- Calorie calculatorzyra-algo v2 · BMR, TDEE
BMR by Mifflin-St Jeor, the activity multiplier, and TDEE with maintain / lose / gain targets.
- Calorie deficit calculatorzyra-algo v2 · lose branch
A weekly rate turned into a daily deficit, showing the 35% cap and the calorie floors the algorithm applies.
- Protein calculatorzyra-algo v2 · protein tiers
Grams per day from body weight and a protein tier, the same table the target uses.
The methodology page writes every formula out with a worked example: how the math works.
